to believe, have faith, is like having another sense....like sight.....hearing....if you don´t have it it´s inconcievable.

In versus 20, she says "how can I have a son while no man has ever touched me?"... it shows that she was a virgin.. regarding the interpretation, sorry but no relation to what it says...
It very related actually, she was not touched but this doesnt mean she wasnt going to be touched. The virgin-birth interpretation accepted because of some myths since Quran negate the fallacy of this myth but this one is not related? IMO this one is more reasonable. Anyway everyone is to free to believe whatever they want. In addition what do you think about the similar verse given below?
3:40 Zechariah prayed to Allah, but then wondered, “My Lord! How could I have a son when old age has overtaken me already and my wife is barren?” He said, “So it will be, Allah does everything according to His Will
According to Quran, Prophet Jesus was elevated to heaven before he died... some believe God did not allow him to suffer at all...
Btw this is a myth too, commonly interpreted in the light of chritianity affected hadiths, firstly according to Quran it is clear that Jesus died but Quran mentions that Jesus was not the one that crucified. If it is the case Jesus exalted (elevating the heaven issue just interpretation too), same applies to Mohammed and Enoch as far as i remember, because same verb "rafha ahu" used for both of them in Quran. Can we say thay are also exalted before they died?

For Prophet Jesus, there is a verse in a surat saying that he was in his late middle ages... but when he was crucified, he was young.. so people believe that, he didn´t die, but elevated to heaven, and yes, i think there is some mention about, the person crucified was actually the one who betrayed him.
Look, religion does not come with proof, you can believe or not, you can interprete this way or another.. so there is no use of discussing this... neither you nor I can proove anything.

Nice and eloquent ... makes it almost sound like faith is something desirable.
I think faith can be compared more to the lack of a sense (like blindness or deafness) ... equally inconcievable if you haven´t experienced it, but a deficit none the less. Deficit in using one´s mental faculties and rational thinking skills.
And it is inconcievable indeed that in the 21st century people still believe in virgin births, ressurections, and people flying on magical horses.

hard to imagine that over 80% of the population in the world can fathom this. They all must be crazy really.

Well, Richard Dawkins says that there must be a "faith" gene... Since religion/faith might be evolutionarily favorable... it helps to live when you believe that you won´t really die...

When do you think we human kind will be able to learn to respect other people´s right to live, and believe anything they like?
But most of the people like to believe what they can see and they can understand - don´t forget we only use a minor percentage of our brain... yet they think they are very clever, and things can not be possible if they can not explain with their little minds. And if somebody else believes in it, they call them dumb.
There are so many things we see, yet we can not understand... and the moment we start understnding, then we say, ooo, I have made a mistake... it was right.

Maybe not crazy (well, some ARE), but uneducated or mentally lazy
There was a time where 100% of people believed the Earth was flat. Just because a large number of people believes in something, doesn´t make it true.
