I just don´t get this:

Why is diye even here? Is that some replacement for /olduğunu<---(I´m not sure for name of this thing )/ ?

What about this:

Onda istediğim birşey olabildiğini düşünüyorum?

 

Here is an interesting information. "Ne diye" means "why"

Ne diye gitti? Why did he go?

But there is a some kind of disaproval in this question.

The point is in Turkish you cannot mention, whisper, shout, claim, complain, write, explain...or even think of something without first saying (diye) it. diye düşünmek always sounds funny to me, like someone is constantly talking to himself.
