Libralady, what kind of operating system are you using? If you're using Windows, then what version? So you extracted the zip file, clicked on .exe file which installed the software, then clicked on the TurkishDictionary icon and it doesn't work when you "Alt + Left click" on a word? What kind of message appears when you "Alt + left click"?

By the way, you must be connected to the internet for this to work.

Icon appeared on my desktop. When I go on line I click on icon and little book appears on bar at bottom of screen. Once this is up dictionary seems to work fine. I am finding it very useful - thanks very much to admin!

I have windows XP professional version
the zip file opened itself - I have checked no zip file
The exe file opened as the various download boxes appeared
the software was installed as i had a message to say so
I click on the icon and only the dictionary opens as it is on left here
When I "alt left click" nothing happens, no message not a thing
and I am connected to the internet all day long, via our server with broadband at 100mps sec

Can you solve it for me then?

I think Admin will answer this question better, but what strikes me is that after downloading, you MUST have a "TurkishDictionaryv0.1.zip" file that you must explicitly extract. Then you get a new folder called "Turkish Dictionary v0.1", then you need to open this folder and there will be two different files - you need to click on the "setup.exe" file. That will initiate the installation. When the installation is complete, you'll get a purple-blue "Turkish Dictionary" icon. You click on it (and I think nothing explicit happens, but the program is running).

It looks like the bug with Turkish characters depends on your Windows language settings, I fixed it right now. But this fix will go into the next version once I accumulate couple more fixes and changes.

Thank you for the feedbacks and bug/error notifications, they definitely help a lot. We should actually keep a list of bugs and known issues. I will start the list once we have some more information accumulated from user experiences.

Babylon, I think is a very good software but the basic version starts from 60$ (and you need to pay for updates, based on the type of license you purchase). They are doing this since many years, that is how the software got so advanced - with improvements at each new release. This thing we are trying to do here is just at the beginning stage, not even version 1 yet. It is free, will stay free and will be improved based on the needs of Turkish language learners - its target audience is Turkish language learners. I have some improvements in mind, I will be implementing them as time permits and make new releases every once in a while.

admin,
what do you mean about language settings ?
İ am downloading the Turkish langıage along with the English from the XP cd,and i am still having this problem

So what should i do then to prevent it ?
You said it works good at your Pc,and you use Turkish character as well, so ?
What did you do ?

And something else,if i opened it along with another applications,it slow my Pc

İs it just my Pc,or that is normal ?

I had the same problem as Canlı in the previous message. When I tried to use the dictionary last night my computer slowed down completely or maybe it was some other problem.
