Our lesson about noun states:
http://www.turkishclass.com/tl_lesson.php?lesson_id=66
The personal pronouns are a bit different than the ´normal´ nouns, and for o (3rd person singular), it requires the bufferletter N between the personal pronoun o and the suffix.
o = nominative state
Deli Kizin nerede? O Hollanda´da
Where is DK? She is in the Netherlands
onu = accusative state
Ben onu gördüm
I saw her
ona = dative state, giving the direction of ´to´
Ben ona mektup yazdým. / Ben ona güzel bir hediye verdim / Ben ona gittim.
I wrote her a letter / I gave her a nice present. / I went to her.
onun = either genitive noun state, or a part of a possesion construction:
O araba kimin? O araba onun (genitive)
Whose car is that? That car is his.
O yeþil araba benim arabam deðil, o onun arabasý. (part of possesion construction)
That green car is not my car, it is her car.
onda = locative state, gives place
Kalemin bende deðil, onda
Your pen is not at me, it is at her (I dont have your pen with me, she has it)
Kimde kalýyorsun? Onda kalýyorum.
At whomse place are your staying? I am staying at her(s).
Ondan = ablative state, gives the direction of ´from´
Kimden duydun? Ondan duydum.
From who did you hear it? I heard it from him.
Deli Kizin nasýl? Bilmiyorum, ondan haber almadým.
How is Deli Kizin? I don´t know, I didnt receive news from her. (I didnt hear from her)
