In this case it is very relevent, as had the killer not been a "fellow" Armenian it well could have spawned yet more ethnic tension....and been used as yet another "example" of mad murderous Turks going after innocent Armenians."

Quoting stumpy

no use commenting as your mind is set and closed, seems that you need to put an ethnic tag on everything and it blinds you to the fact that I just said murder is a vile act

Yes, I agree with you. Who are they to decide anyway? I admire the skill of the garment makers. People have no idea of the work and skill going into the production of those dresses.

I worked in that industry for a few years in NYC and had a chance to see and work on them from close up.

What?!?!?! Your link thought that Salma Hayek, Catherine Zeta Jones, Helen Hunt, Jennifer Garner were badly dressed?? Seems so random what they say. {#emotions_dlg.you_crazy}

I was not a big fan of Halle Berry´s dress, but I think she tried to look like Michael Jackson a little bit, don´t you think?

ODE TO GOLDEN HAIRED WOMEN WITH RED LIPS AND COY KISSES

My gold haired one bestows life with her coyness,
Her kisses are what gives the wine its color.

Sadly, such things happen everyplace in the world. This is not unique to Turkey, or I would guess, not even particularly larger problem in there than other places. From what I can surmise, this is anti Turkish propaganda pure and simple.

Human trafficking is a serious problem. Sometimes they want your organs, others use of your private parts, your labor....it happens everyplace in the world. Of course, some places we have no statistics at all. Like Chinese prisoners....

In watching the video, the grave they are putting her in seems to be very shallow indeed. One could prety much shake the soil off their body. That is, of course, given they are conscious at the time. It would appear feigning unconsciousness, as when one is surrounded by predators like this, putting her head down and creating an air pocket would be a smart thing to do, if one found themselves in such a dire situation.

It´s true, some people have no empathy or compassion for others at all. It´s hard for some of us to understand such a thing, but there are those who put on a good show, but in reality are psychopathic personalities, or some derivitive thereof.

They are dangerous and very often seductive people.

Hosamedi - I am not criticizing you, I see your point, I´m sorry if you felt like it was directed towards you, please accept my apologies. I think we both cannot understand how a human being may be capable of committing such horrific acts of violence towards other people and may be so devoid of empathy. I don´t think these criminals care about their families (mothers/sisters) at all. They are animals.

A citizen of Turkey would seem to be appropriatly called a Turk....I would think. People from France are called French, Canada are called Canadian, Ireland are called Irish....and so on.

So, what is it now?

Quoting stumpy

well being called a Turk is better than being called yankee doodle or frog, I don´t see anything discriminating about it

Are you serious? What should they be called then?

Quoting AlphaF

Most of you are probably familiar with little anectodes that start like " An American, a Brit and a Turk were travelling in the same boat........" and end up with some funny punch line to give readers a smile.

Well, I must warn you that such anectodes are no longer constitutional and they are strıctly forbidden.

The reason is that while a guy from Amerca can freely be called an "American" and  reference to someone from Britain as a "Brit" is perfectly acceptable - calling someone from Turkia a "Turk" shall henceforth be considered as ethnic discrimination, and will not be allowed under the new  constitution (currently being designed).

BELIEVE IT OR NOT !

No, I did not watch it. It´s too hyped up, phony and too much uber glitz for my taste. I do enjoy seeing the gowns, but I don´t have to watch the show to see them. I watched Downtown Abby instead.

Oscar Gowns
In particular I liked Halle Berry, Jane Fonda and Nicole Kidman´s gowns

What did everyone think of the Oscars this year? Did you watch? Why, why not?

Besides some fundamental criticisms of the Hollywood and the movie industry.. I was appalled by that guy who was leading the Oscars this year, what an embarassement, lack of class and intelligence.

And I was really happy that Ann Hathaway won! She´s such a genius actress and super beautiful and intelligent person. {#emotions_dlg.love}
