The following is from the official Likud party platform...the Likud is the party that is in power now and has been in power for quite a few years. IOW, it doesn´t seem there ever was any intent to have a two state solution.

"The Palestinians

Declaration of a State: A unilateral Palestinian declaration of the establishment of a Palestinian state will constitute a fundamental and substantive violation of the agreements with the State of Israel and the scuttling of the Oslo and Wye accords. The government will adopt immediate stringent measures in the event of such a declaration.

Settlements

The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting."

we have the beloved and the loved one....they are not the same. Love is not rational.

True love would never demand that you give up your dignity.

If you are still worried about your dignity, you have no idea about love.

Will you give in your dignity over the love that you ever want in you life ?

Thread: Turkish woman with womb transplant two weeks pregnant

Amazing story...

"A woman from Turkey who became the first person to successfully receive the uterus from a deceased donor may now be pregnant, a hospital has said.

Specialists at Akdeniz University Hospital, in Antalya, using IVF treatment had placed an embryo inside the womb of Derya Sert, 22, with her doctor Mustafa Ünal reported to have said in a statement that she was two weeks pregnant and “doing fine”. Hospital spokeswoman Fusun Bas said on Friday that early test results were "consistent with the expected signs of pregnancy", although it was still very early.

It would be the second piece of history made by Mrs Sert who was described as a ‘medical miracle after the initial transplant in August 2011. Doctors had wanted to wait for 18 months before starting IVF to ensure there were no problems with the transplant. Mrs Sert, married Mustafa Sert, 35, four years ago and the embryo implanted in her womb was created using one of her eggs and her husband’s sperm. Doctors said that if the baby would be delivered via Caesarean section and the womb would be removed afterwards to prevent any further complications."

Caesarean births used to be very rare, now they are becoming very common. I hope this doesn´t happen in Turkey as well. When a baby is delivered through the birth canal various things happen, one being the baby´s lungs to work better.

The body is marvelously designed for the task of delivering babies the natural way. A good mid-wife can do, what would seem, miracles. To a large extent, it´s about patience

Yes, it is the time of drastic change. You know, you don´t have to shop at Walmart, I don´t go to Big Box stores at all.

Although I live in the SF Bay Area, we still have small businesses here. It is sad to see all the development, particularly of ugly buildings with no yards.

I think what he touches on is the change we all feel disgusted by.

Interesting, FWIW....I much prefer Turkish coffee. It´s what I make it at home. Other than that real expresso is good. Turkish coffee was hard to find when I was in Turkey, it seemed Nescafe was the thing....yukk. Turkish tea is great. Those herbal infusions also known as tea were nice too.

Sometimes in the mornings I go to a little Ethiopian cafe and get a nice cup of expresso. I´d like to try real Ethiopian coffee like in the photo below...some day...
