I saw him one evening with a few male Turkish friends in Istanbul in an outdoor venue in the early 60's. Most in the audience were men. He sang with such heart, and commanded such respect! Eating meyva and drinking bira in the open air while being entertained by Zeki Müren. Ne kadar güzel.
