Roxanne is your girlfriend Cyrano? I think from the dialect she is Yorkshire. Southern girls don't say "owt" and "nowt"

There is a difference of opinion here...

My source tells me "Merhaba" is a greeting word of Persian origin, roughly meaning " no harm can come from me to you...."

A friend on the panel thinks it is a greeting word originating from Arabic, meaning "joy to everyone...."

Both are nice...could not verify either

That's very interesting. I particularly like the Persian version.

Me too I love the Persian meaning !! Makes me feel all warm and safe!!

London it too far for me at this time of year-If your meetup is a success and you have another one in the Springtime then maybe i will have a weekend in London.

There is a new Turkish resteraunt in York I am told-it may be a good place for a Northern rendezvous.

I am going over Xmas to check out the menu and ambience so I will post report afterwards.

i think women dont know what they really want.. thats why i like you this much

Controversially canim benim, I'm inclined to agree a little bit here. Some women don't know what they want. This I think arises from the general inconsistency of men! One minute they are protecting you and treating you like a cherished adored possession, so you agree to their restrictions on the basis that they make you feel like a Goddess. The next minute they leave you alone all night while they are out drinking/watching football/playing backgammon/sitting in the pub/cafe/etc etc with their equally cherished male friends. Expect you to clean and cook etc. you could harm yourself in a million ways around the house. For example you could burn yourself on the cooking pots! Trip over the hoover and break your neck and lie dead on the floor until 3am (when you come home)A girl to easily get sucked into the washing machine as she lovingly puts your shirts in.

i think this is why women don't know what they want - because men give with one hand and take back twice as much with the other.
Please read my essay 'Being Looked After Turkish style' on the essays page. i'd love your comments on that tatli!

lol Lyndie waht is the statistical likelihood of being sucked into the washing machine!!!
