Quote: I'm not listening to anyone about Islam or religion on message boards or trusting such sources. Of course I'm researching it on my own. Anyways, I'm up to my eyeballs in bookmarked Islamic websites and I have 2 Qurans (will get more books later about Islam). So no worries about the studying...
|
Just do yourself a favour, and research other religions as much as you are researching Islam. Giving all to one religion will not find you the answers, give yourself fair choice. As Canli said and AEnigma, things will definitely change when you are married because if he is quite strict now, you can probably expect him to be stronger once you are married. Just consider yourself as much you consider him. Love is blind as they say !
Pass me a rasher when your done !!!

Sorry just want to add that if he truly loves you, he would respect any decision that you make to convert or not in your own terms. He would also respect your decision to wear what you want and eat what you want although I also wouldn't bring pork into the house when I have muslims coming over. My husband doesn't mind anything, he didn't mind me getting Baptized or going to church, he doesn't mind me wearing make-up or tight jeans (IF ONLY I am way to fat for that - ha ha ha). All I mean is respect should be a large part of true love, mutual understanding and acceptance should be another large part.
I wish you well and much happiness.

there is no woman as prophet in all religions, Unfortunately ,as you know
|
Elham, not a major prophet, but in the Bible there are a lot of minor prophets who are women, e.g. Anna and Simeon were prophetess and priest in the temple when Jesus was dedicated as a baby.
Anyway, I agree that women can also make very nice cheese. My favourite from the UK is Double Gloucester or extra strong Cheddar. I like Çerkez peyniri in Turkey as it is like Cheddar but really got a creamy taste.
