Quoting SuiGeneris: Quoting AlphaF: Genocide bussiness is good bussiness...It has kept many a diaspora busy and rich for years... |
True! it is only Diasporas who had great rank with this genocide business!
And about over government they have said about let this issue is being discussed by historians... Its Armenians who carries this issue to political level!
Genocide accepted by Americans-who was bringing peace to Iraq... was it for peace or petrol? we are watching on news that American forces are good at protecting Petrol mining centers... what a surprise! |
As well as the lucrative Petrol let's not forget The West has made billions of Dollars from the making and use of Arms in Iraq, and after using these Arms,in all certainty there will be a rush from Western countries to put 're-build' construction tenders in to build up Iraq's infrastructure which they destroyed in the first place.I wonder if they will accept tenders from Iraqi construction companys?

I completely agree - however lets not also forget that innocent Turkey is, in the meantime, making a nice living from supplies to the US Army

Turkia could have made millions more, only by providing Americans passage of troops thru TURKISH-IRAQ Border.

I really wish I knew more about the history of Turkey/Armenia to comment, let's see what the 'Historians' have to say,but I do recall reading that Atatturk produced a legal document stating that 'no part of Turkish land will ever be given up',I had the copy of this but I can't find it,if anyone else has a copy of these laws it would be interesting to see?

Quoting AlphaF: I ask all the fellow members here.
DO YOU GUYS SEE SOMETHING FUNNY or NOT, IN THE WAY SOME ARMENIANS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS TURN AROUND TO THE WORLD AND SAY, "WE SHALL PROVE TO YOU ALL, BEYOND ANY DOUBT WHATSOEVER, BUT ONLY WHEN TURKS RELEASE THE ASSOCIATED SECRET FILES THAT THEY KEEP IN HIDDEN SAFES UNDER LOCK and BOLT, THAT THERE WAS INDEED A GENOCIDE AGAINST ARMENIANS." ?
|
Mylo,
If you cant see the past, why dont you look at the present and provide an honest reply to the above question?
When do you think Turks will release the documents, if there are any, which will prove that there was a genocide - beyond a shadow of doubt?

Too be honest,I doubt if there are any documents at all,if there are why would they hold on to them this long? are they waiting for property prices to rise?In my experience of reading Historical documents they are only hidden for one reason and it usually means 'cover up'.As I said I wish I knew more about it,also a little amendment,in History it is almost impossible to provide 'absolution' of any kind,I do find it slightly weird that a country so willing to reclaim its land back needs another country to first release its papers in order to prove a point,if Armenia has documentation why doesn't it just realease it to the world,or why don't Turkey and Armenia they release them at the same time?

Here is a start mylo....it is not a simple issue..
are turks losing against Armenian propaganda machine?
Armenian issue, Allegations . Facts
ARMENIAN REVOLTS AND MASSACRES
In the period that followed the Berlin Treaty, the Armenian issue developed in two directions, The first is the interventions made by the Western powers in the affairs of the Ottoman Empire, and the second is the clandestine organisation and rearmament of Anatolian, Syrian and Thracian Armenians in various parts of Anatolia, particularly in Eastern Anatolia and Cilicia.
The initial provocations started coming from Russia. This attitude induced the British and French Governments to display a greater interest toward Armenians. British Consulates mushroomed in Eastern Anatolia and large numbers of Protestant missionaries were dispatched to this region.

Turks did not come to Anatolia in 1071. That's a common misconception. They had captured land and settled in Anatolia much much earlier than that. Archeological finds prove the presence of Turkish settlements as early as 6-7th century and speculate about Turkish presence in Anatolia thousands of years ago. 1071 only signifies the beginning of the complete Turkifying of the Anatolian peninsula following Seljuk victory against Byzantine empire at Mazgirt (Malazgirt).
We should point out to the fact that Anatolia had never been entirely occupied by anyone of the preceding civilizations.

That is correct...The pioneers had settled long before the Seljuk's final march...
