Quoting Deli_kizin: I have recently started reading Kuran. Since its so hard to read (no wonder people think its divine! What kind of human writes such a book :-S) I am still at the third surah. I will report back as soon as I read about headscarves |
You should have started from the back Many find it hard to get past the second sura because it's so long and covers a lot of subjects Don't worry, it only gets better from now on

Yes, they said that at univesity too
I have decided that I shouldnt want to finish it quickly, but really take my time for it and only read when I feel like it, otherwise Ill get bored like a year ago.
Its hard for me to read, because I dont believe a word of it, and the difficult structures make it hard to understand. But it sure is an interesting read!!

Sort of I was merely stating that allowing such does not also bring headscarves to the schools, but only public sex and alcohol use/abuse.
Im glad I didnt grow up in such an environment, and would not want my eventual children to do so.

Your interpretation of the Academic Council's statement brings a whole new light on the issue.
I did not know they were worried about public sex or alcohol abuse on the campus. )))))))))

Well I never linked it to that statement as I didnt read it, it was just a consequence of your first statement, saying personal freedoms (religious, political and SEXUAL) should be PRACTİSED FREELY.
So thats all. I dont think he was worrying about that
