would you use the same sarcasm if another astronout would carry a cross to the space with him or her to the space? i was just wondering...

I'm sure there are people who would and the whole Catholic church wouldn't go on rampage because of that. You just have to accept the fact that people have the right to criticize religions.

No they wont because we have different ways in practicing our religions
You dont pray,or fast same way as we do.
You would see what i mean when you read my above post.
But im just wondering too, criticize religions for what ?
Because people want to practice their religion even in the space ?!
Arent people free to do what they want, whether practice or not ?
İs this something need criticizing ?
Or being Muslim want to practice his religion in the space is something required criticism ?

Interesting Trudy, guidebook for Muslims in space.. Hmm, I think I would be more worried about general survival than how to determine prayer times, locating Mecca etc.. I wonder if they have guidebooks for other religions in space. Anyhow, I do understand their good intentions.

Is there a better time to pray then when you are in potential danger? But it did make me wonder about other religious practices and how they are accomodated in space. For example...do Christians get communion in space?

True, but as Christians prayer can be anytime of anyday. We don't need a guidebook to tell us that. I would imagine they could get communion as long as a priest has blessed the host. I do wonder if they have a guidebook for other religions as well.

Also for Muslims you can pray anywhere anytime...
but Ramazan is something special like your thanksgiving day and the month that you are fasting also...

would you use the same sarcasm if another astronout would carry a cross to the space with him or her to the space? i was just wondering...

No, I wouldn't and I wasn't being sarcastic. I just found it odd that they would have to write a manual on their religion. If they are a practicing Muslim, I would hope they would know their own practice. I'm sure it is different in space, however to me prayer is prayer. Whether your on earth or in the sky. But maybe they need a manual to instruct them for some reason. If I'm missing something here, please shed some light on it. I admit I'm not an expert on the Muslim religion.

That is why you find it odd then.
Sure prayers are prayers but it depends how do we pray.
Meaning, when you pray, you dont have to pray toward a special direction, but when we pray we must pray to the direction of Mecca.
We pray 5 prayers at the day, accourding to the time and sun,we dont pray them all together.
And we fast, and break our fast accourding to the sun too,so in the space he needs to know all of that if he is going to fast and pray
Also,when we pray we kneel
We touch the ground on 5 places from our body ,so with gravity,he need to know how can he pray.
But actually specially for praying, there are lots of positions people who have problem kneeling or sick or anything,so they still can pray,so he could use it in that situation too.

Why do you talk for somebody else Canli? Speak for yourself please and let others speak for themselves as well.

İ guess i have the right to talk the way i like, for myself or for somebody else
İts not against the forum rules i believe to talk on other people behalf !
All women here in this particular thread including YOU have talked about how Turkish workers cheaters and gold diggers,do i assume they all talk for themselves ? out of personal experience ?
Why do you address me specially with this comment and not the others then ?!

That is really boring, and offending too to lable people of the country 'men or women' with some personal experience !

Well, isnt that how we all see things, through our own personal experiences? Isn't 'No I have a friend who..' a common arguement for 'defenders' to say that not all are that way?

Actually,no
Mature people dont do that !
So,if i have a bad experience with an Egyptian man,so all Egyptian men are bad ?
Then if i have another experience with a Turk,or Birt,or what ever, then i would lable all the people with my own experience ?
We take lessons through our personal experiences, but we dont lable
Lots of women here had bad experiences with Turk, then now they are married to another Turk,so i guess they didnt lable it,they just took lessons.

Quoting Deli_kizin:

I am in love with a Turkish man, but I do not feel offended when someone says that the girls who love Tyrkish men are naive. Simply because I know they have to generalize in the discussion and dont specifically mean my case. And I dont feel the need to defend myself, because I do not feel insulted.

You dont feel offended, but other women do.
There was an attack in another thread for the women just because she is having a relationship with a Turk, and even the woman didnt complain about it.
Some women left here because of that,so that means they really felt offended about it.
They dont defend themselves too,but they say,''Heyy,we dont like it'' its their rights .

Quoting Deli_kizin:

I agree that such threads have become boring as there is no 'final conclusion'. But saying that 'not everyone is like that', doesnt deny that there ARE people who are like that. It is a common effect that a small group can ruin it for the bigger group, but asking 'what are you doing on this website' is not the way to change the impression. The way to change it, is to make the small group stop ruining it for the bigger group.

İ agree with you 'what are you doing on this website' is not the way to change the impression,it was a way to say 'we FED UP about it' but again,i dont agree with that too.

Actually its boring and pretty much offending too!
And been much lately in many threads,if not attacking Turkish men, then attacking the women who are committed with Turkish men.

Why dont you see it the other way arround, and i BET you wouldnt accept it!

İf you read a thread about,English women,or Dutch women,American....ect
Are travelling to Türkiye seeking love,or causal afairs
Then you would find an apology saying, oppss, nope, not all the women.
Dont take it as generalizing !

Then you find same thread again with different title, but same point, and same opppsss

That is really boring, and offending too to lable people of the country 'men or women' with some personal experience !

And btw, calling man a rabbit is very insulting thing here !

small translation, putting what I think .. please .. tesekkurler in advance

nerde olursan ol benimsin - where to become mine? .. the sin at the end of benim is throwing me off ..

also throwing one more word in here ..
babağim - a derivative of father?

benimSİN, means YOU ARE mine
Sin means you are.

Babağim, dont know it,but maybe he ment, babacığım, and that would mean like my beloved father...kind way of saying my father.

What is throwing me off is that ' ol' after olursan.

olursan means 'if you be'
