Hi
I am really amazed how many replies me and Nesrin got to our post about 'she got her visa' I think it is a very important time that many members here will have to face at sometime the stressful time of applying for a visa be it for a visit to another country or a settlement visa. When someone gets refused for a visa for whatever reason they seek solace and ask the reason why, yet for other people reading this type of post who have had the sorrow of a refusal for a visa can take heart from posts like mine and Nesrin and really have the support of members who may be facing the same situation. The outcome of this 20 minute interview is too imense to put into words, okay it is only a visitor's visa and she can always re-apply but the joy of her getting it and receiving her phone call to see how happy she was will never leave my thoughts, my mum is so happy she cannot travel to Istanbul to see Nesrin so to actually see her in England is just too precious. I would like to thank Turkish class and all the members here who replied and those that are members here it really did mean alot. I hope everyone going through the same process will start their own thread and have a happy ending

Hi all,
I was chatting to Nesrin yesterday about her work and she was telling me about when she works in the bank she is not allowed to wear open toe shoes even when it is very hot she has to wear closed toe shoes. Her friend works at a local telecom company and is allowed to wear open toed shoes is this just the type of work business or does it go further and relate to the conservativeness of being a muslim and baring bare feet in public? I know Nesrin would like to wear her sandals to work but she respects the place she works in, she is just jealous of her friend who can wear her open toed shoes to her work

I read each reply with the same thoughts of instantly replying.

which is exactly why I hadn't added a message I didn't want you to feel obligated to keep saying thanks but do want to say congratulations, and I hope you have a fabulous time together, and many more visits ahead

I really wish the two of you the best. it's still a dream for me to finally unite with my love, who is currently in incirlik, turkiye. i'm here in the US, and miserable without him. But i know there is hope. everyone pray for us, Kat and Huseyin.

Hi Morkatz, Thanks for your reply, I see it is only your second post on the forum welcome to the T.C. class. I understand fully Morkatz how you feel Nesrin is in Istanbul and I am in the U.K. it gets tough and miserable like you say without our loved ones and sometimes seems very unfair but there is a way to be together it takes alot of things to make sure everything is right the main thing is contact when you are apart. How long have you been together Kat? best wishes to you and Huseyin

Hi Mina_TR Really you were praying for me and Nesrin that is so touching I do not know what to say, alot of people on T.C. really have made a difference and I read each reply with the same thoughts of instantly replying.

Your husband and yourself were once there Mina and I am glad I have mirrowed that feeling you and your husband had those three years ago. I have so many trips planned before Mina so Nes has a full diary when she comes (he he), it is just given us a chance to see each other again and also she can meet all my family, it really was so important today to get the good news. Thanks again Mina for taking time to write here best wishes

Hi again Richard,

Ohh yes I believe in the power of prayer and I believe very much in GOD. I have always believed that there is a reason for everything, even if it doesn't happen the way we want it to and keeps us from moving forward in life even if it's just for the moment. But still something turns out good at the end of every situation.

Wishing you much happiness

Hi Mina
I have to take this opportunity with your reply Mina to confess that very much I have prayed since meeting Nesrin, she is totally different to any woman I have ever met in my life and really is very special. I say a prayer every night for her and I am very certain everything I say is listened to
Thankyou Mina
