So men do wear engagement rings? So, then did you ask her to marry you or did she ask you? Sorry, I'm not familiar with men getting engagement rings, I'm just trying to understand.

Hi teaschip1,
This man wears one I asked Nesrin to marry me yes when I go to Turkey very soon I will ask her again properley. In my situation with me living in England it was very important we both had that commitment I can not see anything wrong with a man wearing an engagement ring, I constantly look at my engagement ring and think about the life I now want with my fiancee. When we chose the rings we got a matching pair engraved with our names in and the date we then had a lovely party to celebrate our engagement.

I think alot of engagements in England are taken too lightly I have known people be engaged many times for me this is not taken seriously, my engagement means something and I still have fond memories of our engagement party.

Hello all,
I seem to have more friends in Turkey now than before and see them as great genuine people, in my country I rarely have as many friends that I call close and reliable what I noticed about my fiancee's friends she has many are the strong bonding and reliablity when she wants something or she is feeling like going out somewhere there is usually someone always to rely on.

I have alot of friends in the U.K. but seem to lack alot of them when I need someone to rely on, many have got married and since then they are isolated I may only see them or hear them once a year or when someone is in trouble or other reasons, what I noticed in Turkey is whether married or not friends there get involved when they are asked to and getting married is not any reason to not keep intouch as often as my friends would. I see this as a good reason to get more involved in Turkey, of course I will always have solid friends but I need more of them when I want and it just always seems less likely here in England.

Hello,
I wish I was with Nesrin now we have no clean water here in Gloucestershire (U.K.), I miss my showers I may be a bit smelly this is the worst weather in the U.K. flood wise for over 100 years, some unfortunate people have no water or electricity that is very bad, I think sanatation is a real threat with the possible forecast of no clean water for up to 14 days in Gloucestershire I am a little concerned. We get rid of one Tony Blair but now have Gordon Brown god help us!

Poor you canim . Luckily the flooding as not affected the island here, but I am so sad to see what is happening there .

Tesekkur canim we are coping reasonably well alot of people are really gathering around it feels like the war although I was not born the spirit is the same. Can I use your shower please
