Merhaba Richard

Glad to hear you and Nesrin are doing well and enjoying your time in Turkey. Sorry she has to work during your stay there, but yes you are right, the main thing is that you're both together for the time you have there

Wish I could go to Turkey again, but for now I'am just happy to wait for my husband's return home, just 12 more days left!

Anyway have a wonderful time and a safe return home!

Selam canim

Hello everyone,
How are we all doing? I am in Istanbul currently with my fiancee she is working unfortunately and I
am looking after our friends son Eddis he seems quite happy playing computer games and watching TV. I would like more time with her but work comes first it just seems a long day when she goes out early and then comes home late also, still at least I can be with her that is the main thing.

I went to my first Turkish wedding ceremony on sunday but it was only registry office and was very quick but enjoyable, it was near Beskitas so many people there marrying on sunday I was very surprised, anyway take care all see you soon
Rich and Nesrin

I have done nothing special but have a special thing to say something that is very true and extremely honest. I am nearly ** years old now (you have to guess) and I admit that during my courting period relationships came and went and I do actually admit that I never have said I loved someone and meant it with all my heart, I know we all say that we love someone without really meaning it in some relationships but with Nesrin I really do mean the word love.

This word is too freely used and maybe sometimes not trully meant but I can say honestly and very truthfully this is the first time I really felt in 'True Love' thankyou Nesrin my sevgilim

Quoting Deli_kizin:

Im not a Turkish woman, but what I can say for girls in İzmir, they mostly wear sportive shoes! Vans and Converse Allstar seem to have reached to Turkey too and they are in shops and on feet everywhere.

Ofcourse there are also lots of lady-like shoes and I can say that those shoes are pretty expensive for Turkish standards. On the other hand, though in Holland I would pay the same for that type of shoe, I would get less quality. There are loads of pumps and shoes with high heels available, and there are quite a lot stylish shoe-shops with quality leather shoes.

In the Turkish wedding-culture or party-culture, there seems to be a fetish for golden or silver colored open shoes with high and small heels. I for myself think they look horrible and cheap, but you can see them in many many small shoeshops, sold in variable prices from unaffordable to REALLY cheap. I always wondered when one would wear such a footwear, as you dont see them often on the streets, but I was told they are used for weddings or parties. After that I have seen them being worn on a kına-gecesi.

Apart from these golden-silver party-shoes, there is not a significant difference in the fashion for shoes between Holland and Turkey. Sometimes I have actually had the feeling Turkey is just a bit ahead when it comes to fashion, compared to Holland.

Mayokinis were introduced in Turkey something like 2 years ago, none of my Dutch friends had heard of it last summer and this summer I spotted the first one here. The red shiny shoes you see in Dutch shops now, I have seen in Turkey already at the end of last summer.

Hi Deli,
Thanks for your information it is very intresting I am sorry I did not really mean just Turkish women reply to this post all comments are very welcome, I still sell from time to time ladies footwear and I am still intrested in hearing comments on the latest fashions and what the latest trends are. I have never heard of Mayokinis until now Nesrin often comments on the range of footwear she sees in many shops in Istanbul with made in China on she told me these shoes are not the best to buy.
