Even if I like independence, I'm so used to the idea of being looked after by boyfriend that I'm afraid when I leave this country and have a boyfriend, I'll think that he doesn't care for me or love me enough...

Quoting Phil:

merhaba

i am just wondering how turkish words work when in english you add a S example: my angel=melegim / my angels=?

what is the translation for english
please help phil

melek-im ----> meleğim
melek-ler-im ----> meleklerim

kitap-ım ----> kitabım
kitap-lar-ım---> kitaplarım

kalem-im----> kalemim
kalem-ler-im----> kalemlerim

so you take the word, put the plural suffix (-ler or -lar) according to the vowel harmony and then put the first person possessive suffix (-im or -ım) according to the vowel harmony again.
as you notice you do the necessary changes k becomes ğ, p becomes b, ç becomes c but they don't change when you put the plural suffixes ler and lar because they don't start with a vowel.

well, I think I should have some english mistakes, so maybe you can correct them.

and I like the version of Nina Simone of this song, too. It's funny to hear the American French But her voice is really nice.

Esther if you can, record while your singing and send it to me

Well...

Don't leave me

Don't leave me
It's necessary to forget.
All can be forgotten
Which already flee
To forget the time
Of misunderstandings
And the time that is lost
To know how
To forget the hours
That kill sometimes
The heart of happiness
With the blows of why.
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me

Me, I will offer you
The pearls of rain
That come from the countries
Where it does not rain
I will dig the ground
Even after my death
To cover your body
Of gold and light
I will make a kingdom
Where love will be king
Where love will be the law
Where you will be queen
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me

Don't leave me
I will invent you
Foolish words
Which you will understand
I will speak to you
About these lovers
Who saw twice
Their hearts blazing up
I will tell you
The history of this king
Who died because of not having
Met you
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me

We have often seen
The reflashing of the fire
Of an ancient volcano
Which we believed was too old
It's told that
There're burned grounds
Giving more corns
Than the fine April.
And when the evening comes
So that a sky blazes,
The red and the black
Don't they marry each other?
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me

Don't leave me
I won't cry any more
I won't speak any more
I will hide myself there
To watch you
Dance and smile
And to listen to you
Sing and then laugh
Let me become
The shadow of your shadow
The shadow of your hand
The shadow of your dog
But don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me
Don't leave me

For me it's easier now to translate to English because now i can see both versions

So i will soon post the english version then.. I can't find my dictionary anywhere but think i'll figure it out.

give it a try. actually the first paragraph is the most difficult one.
I can help you if you get stuck somewhere about the meaning, but I'm sure, in expressing you will make the english one sound better than I.
