We have a child and my husband only speaks turkish to him and I do find that I do pick up more words as he is speaking. When he´s speaking to our child in english whatever command then I reply back to what he has said (in english). I just need more confidence in speaking this is my problem.

I am going to spend a week with my in laws in May so I do think this will help me, I hope it will anyway. My husband isn´t coming with me and our son so I will have no choice but to be confident and speak.

I´ve been learning turkish on my own (with the help of the internet), with the likes of grammer and also watching T.V. and I know many many words in turkish just don´t have the confidence, this is my only problem

Hi, I´m only still learning but as I ask for translations of my own I wanted to give something back to this translation forum. Please understand that I am still only learning turkish  but hopefully someone will come by and help out if it is not correct, but I have tried my best.

simdi sen kalkip gidiyorsun.git

now you are going (to) stand up. go

Gozlerin durur mu onlar da gidiyorlar gitsinler

Your eyes stops, they are going. let them go

Oysa ben senin gozlerinsiz edemem bilirsin

Whereas I cannot know your eyes

Oysa allah bilir bugun iyi uyanmistik

But allah knows the best I´ve got through today

Sevgideydi ilk acilisi gozlerimizin sirf onaydi

The 1st opening of the eyes, purely approved

Bir kus konmus parmaklarima uzun uzun otmustu

A bird laid a long time and my fingers (otmustu)

Bir sevismek gelmis bir daha gitmemisti

A lovemaking has again not gone

Yoktu dunlerde evelsi gunlerdeki yoksullugumuz

There was no (evelsi) before yesterday the days (yoksullugumuz)

This is all I have done of the poem so far but it is getting late so I can continue it again in the morning, meanwhile if there is anyone out there who can see mistakes then please can you correct. thanks

I don´t know if this is the right board to put this on, but basically I am trying to write a little story in turkish but I am stuck on a few words: how would you say, ´he was sick´. I know sick is ´hasta´ and I know about the personal pronouns: (ben hastayim/sen hastasin/o hasta) and know about the past tense however I am unsure how to write ´he was sick´. Would someone please be kind enough to explain

thanks
