yes - men in that post ARE described as animals, which they ARE in most muslim countries

Well..
A bit exaggeration..is it NOT?

like 80-90%?
when the religion allows to beat women and when it looks as if a woman was a half human?

This is as 'fantastic' as, some of the men in eastern countries describing 80-90% western women 'beaches'.
Harikasiniz girls. lol
well done really!!

OK THIS IS BEYOND THE JOKE NOW!!
Turkish people is one of the most friendly and the most hospitable people on this planet.

I remember reading posts in TC from single women who traveled all over Turkey and did not mention any thing bad about it.
I remember Marion, who lives in Turkey, talking how hospitable Turkish people are.

Stop worrying about traveling to Turkey as single woman. The chance being threatened in London by hoodies or robbed with a knife in New York is greater than feeling threatened in Turkey.

marion in turkey walks in hijab around turkey pretending a turkish girl in order to avoid stalkers

its in the habbit of westerners to praise the other cultures! they are raised so unlike easterners!

you are wrong again femme!!
I dont think marion walks in hijab..lol

But israel palestine conflict is like the reality of 2+2=4.
It will be hard to say 2+2 is NOT 4.
It was your difficulty in this post!!

everything was legal.
the land belonged to jews before, they didnt fall down from the moon.

'If I was an Arab leader I would never make [peace] with
Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country.'
David Ben Gurion

more context pls.

this?

thank you for the source

I don't understand your optimism. Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been antisemitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that? They may perhaps forget in one or two generations' time, but for the moment there is no chance. So, it's simple: we have to stay strong and maintain a powerful army. Our whole policy is there. Otherwise the Arabs will wipe us out.

its better in the context now.
and ben gurion is right.
if he were an arab he would think like an arab, to whom jews would always be the occupiers.

if i were a jew, i would definitely have much tougher policy with arabs. i would not dance like jews dance under the music of UN.
its impossible to have regulated and civilised relationships with arabs. the history shows it.

Dearest femme!!
If we show that text even with its context to 100 people. 99 of them will think what I think..The only one who wont think, will be you!!
Sorry to say but, if i were you I would ignore this posts.
I really dont want to break your heart but it is the truth..

I agree with you on that verse. There are worse verses as well :S
However islam in Turkey has always been different than the islam in countries like sauidi arabia, pakistan etc.
Islam in Turkey has always been a milder version of islam.

I know there are worse verses. I also am well aware that Turkey is a "milder" version of Islam - what other whose population are 90% muslim could be famous for it's Raki?

Handsom you quote figures that are "years old" and "estimates" and you forget the source, so don't tell me that Turkey has a better rape crime record than UK

But we dont know the real numbers in Turkey. so we cant be sure uk has better rape crime record than Turkey!!
and I dont like you today.

virginity might be prized, but in the end, turkey's population is shifting to big cities for one reason or another and in cities, the relationships are not hugely different than an european city. In coming years the importance of virginity will be less than today. And today the virginity is less important then 20 years ago.

But until then...you are a mostly muslim country, whose religion teaches...:-

"Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will....” Qur'an 2:223.

well..
I think in turkey, number of rape cases recorded is around 5% (I think). which means that only 1 in 20 rape case is recorded.
I think that value in the uk is 1 in 3..
so the value 0.018 per 1000 people makes 0.36 per 1000 people.
I think in the uk 1 in 3 rape cases is recorded.
I have no idea how it works with the usa.
so new table for 3 countries:
us -1.19 rape case per 1000
uk-0.14*3=0.42 rape per 1000
turkey- 0.36 rape per 1000.
So Turkey is still better than uk and the usa..

Well... how the hell do you know if a crime is not recorded? What is the source of your statistics? Do your figures include marital rape?

In a culture where virginity is prized, it would be in a girl's long term interests to NOT report such a crime - so how do you know that the figure is even as low as 1 in 20?

well..I remember reading about those value years ago actually. But i am not sure I can find it online It is just an estimation in the end.
