Luetfen, what exactly are the new techniques, Muejde?

Thanks Roswitha. I remembered reading this article actually in the paper..Thanks anyway.
It will be nice to know what they are thinking as a solution though.
I am hoping that there is one!

Hi - I have heard of a technique they are using on the farms in Israel, it is a drip irrigation. Rows of hose/pipes along farm that continuously drip small droplets of water close to the plant. Just one drop dripping onto one plant. The problem with conventional watering is when large amounts of water that are poured (with hosepipe) onto the earth something like 70% evapourates back into the atmosphere and only 30% is actually getting down into the earth. With the drip technique, all the water gets right down into the earth and it saves a huge amount of water being evapourated.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drip_irrigation

Hope this may through some light on the technique.

Thanks for the info Cacik.
However, we are talking about a place bigger than Israel itself. There might be a huge cost of changing the entire irrigation system. And of course, getting the water from the soil itself; new drillings; pumps. I dont even want to think about it!
Thanks anyway

I think through out history, there has always been a very thin line between patritoism and nationalism. Someone has to be quite careful about where that line is.
I was looking at the wiki for patriotism link
Patriotism is often portrayed as a more positive alternative to nationalism
patriotism is distinguished from nationalism by its lack of aggression or hatred for others, its defensiveness, and positive community building

As far as patriotism in Turkey is concerned, well, most of our patriots are nationalists with racist elements. I find it quite disturbing actually.
And that type of patriotism should be bashed and smashed into pieces.
In the end, all nationalists call themselves patriots as well. Hitler was a patriot, so as Stalin, so is Bush.

http://www.silkroadhotels.com/adenhotel.htm
aden
It is around 60 Euros.
I had to stay there 4 months ago and it was nice.
I visited 6-7 hotels on that street. Price was almost the same with +-10 euros.
I think you could find cheeper hotels at the back streets around 35-40 euros. I think somebody from that area can find them out for you.
They are all connected, they all know other hotels around. If you phone aden hotel for example and ask for cheaper hotel tel numbers, they will help you.

"soylendi" is =it was said
what I thought was 'somebody, from turkey, told you he recieved xxx amount of euros in cash' you dont want to give your sources name.
