Thanks for your message, I am like you when it comes to the sentences in Turkish, I struggle, I have all these phrases in my head, but need to learn the grammar and how to get it to click, Im trying to learn how to use the vowels etc., I know it is a 'sticking on' language with different masculine and feminine endings to words, its like you said, you have to be with Turkish people and practise a bit at a time and not take too much on board at once! Oh well, I hope to get there in the end, a Turkish friend told me to watch old movies with subtitles, he said thats how his english wife learnt, but I dont have access to any in England, anyway, hope to converse with you again, may be asking for help soon! take care, kind regards,

Hi everyone! my name is Evie, I am looking forward to posting on the forum and hopefully learning and understanding more turkish! I have been to Turkey many times over the last 8 years, mostly to Icmeler, which is like my second home! I know many Turkish phrases, but am trying to learn the language properly so I can have a good comversation with my Turkish friends, its not good only knowing bits! My boyfriend in Turkey is a chef and is a lovely man, but unfortunately he speaks virtually no English! so we hardly text each other, and talking on the phone is impossible! never mind, I will see him next summer, he says he will try to learn English in the winter and me more Turkish, anyway, enough chattering on! bye for now guys!
