Probably next year in summer I will go back to Turkey for a second trip of 5-6 weeks travelling around by bus, like I did this summer. I have made two iteneraries. Places I should skip? Places I should add? Why? Can anyone give me advice, ideas?
Between brackets I mention the places I want to go to for just a day trip. I do not like beaches so the coast is not interesting for me.
Here are my ideas:
Rotterdam - Urfa (Harran) – Karadut ( Mount Nemrut) - Elazig (Harput) – Tatvan (Ahlat) – Van (Akdamar / Hoşap) - Iğdir – Kars – Artvin – Trabzon (Uzungöl) – Ordu (Boztepe) – Unye (Perşembe) – Samsun (Amasya) – Sinop – Amasra – Safranbolu - Kastamonu – Eskisehir – Kutahya – Usak – Pamukkale (Afrodiasis) - Bursa - Istanbul – Rotterdam
Or:
Rotterdam - Urfa (Harran) – Karadut ( Mount Nemrut) - Elazig (Harput) – Tatvan (Ahlat) – Van (Akdamar / Hoşap) - Iğdir – Kars – Artvin – Trabzon (Uzungöl) – Ordu (Boztepe) – Unye (Perşembe) – Samsun (Amasya) – Sinop – Amasra – Safranbolu - Kastamonu – Eskisehir – Bursa - Trace: Çanakkale / Edirne and other places - Istanbul - Rotterdam

Pamukkale (Afrodiasis)
You don't need to spend more than a day here. If you rent a car you can see both easily in a day and have a great time.

Çanakkale is a nice town to visit, and of course from there you can visit the ancient ruins at Troy However if you go to Troy in the summer, bring a hat or something to shade you from the sun. There is practically no cover there!!
