Does anyone have or know where I can get some mezes recipes? Unfortunately my Sultan's Kitchen cookbook does not have that many.

Yes! I like to have too! Especially Acili Ezme, please. And if possible, the recipes in grams and milliliters instead of ounces and so.

Just enter ezme in google and you will get various recipes Trudy

Try some of the recipes mentioned here.
The recipes are nice and simple.

Girls I am the best cook of my family send me pm and have the recipe you want from İstanbul

Acılı ezme:

3 tomatoes
1 big onion
1 ts. cumin
2 ts. salt
2 tbs. lemon juice
6 tbs. olive oil


chop the onion and tomatoes really tiny slices. Add the other ing. and some red pepper (how much do you like hot) if you like you can add some parsley on top.

another recipe we call çemen

200 gr. tomato paste
1 slice of bread
3cloves garlic
1 fistfull walnuts
1 ts. salt
1 ts. dried mint
7 tbs. olive oil

put theme in a mixer, mix till get creamy like peanut butter. You can keep it in the fridge for a month.
