Next summer I want to travel again through East-Turkey. I like to start in the regio of Mount Nemrut. They told me that there are two possibilities for an airport: Adiyaman or Sanliurfa. Because tickets only get more expensive I was just looking. Well I cant find an affordable ticket to Adiyaman, the lowest price from Amsterdam (departure July 14th, back from Istanbul August 22nd) is about 1400 euro! To Sanliurfa I found one for 560 euro.
I have a few questions about this: anyone know a site / aircompany (Turkish Airlines has no flights available) that is cheaper to one of these cities? And to be in Mount Nemrut region, are there other possibilities for airports?
Thanks for advising me!

Yikes, that's really expensive!
I think the prices will drop if you order the tickets seperately. For example a ticket to Istanbul (which should be relatively cheap from Amsterdam) and via a turkish agent order tickets from Istanbul to Adiyaman and Sanliurfa. With THY most fares in Turkey cost between 100-200 lira.

Thanks for your advice Azade. I will ask a Turkish travel agent here in town (there are many here) to look things up for me. The site of Turkish Airlines is off I guess, no date, no flight is available. And I don't go to Adiyaman and Sanliurfa, it will be one of those.
I also found a relatively cheap ticket to Malatya (415 euro). I thought maybe that's possible als well and then by bus to Kahta? Anyone knows if that's correct?

Any (Turkish) person who knows if it is possible to go by bus from Malatya to Kahta? How many hours will that take? And how far is the airport of Malatya from the city center?
