Rather indulgent direction at times,reminiscent of Uzak. Cinematography was mixed but had many stunning moments that made it a compelling film. However, it was the sound recording(other than the very long silences!) that captured an amazingly true and accurate essence of Turkish life and people...you could almost smell and taste it at times.This quality of cinema deserves to be seen by a wider audience.
