Hi all I'm going to Alanya February 9th to see my hubby(!!) who will be finishing his first 3 months in the army
Well I'll be travelling with myself which I've done plenty of times before, but not from Antalya airport to Alanya.
We usually take a taxi to the main road and wait for a random bus to go to Alanya, but I don't know if this is a good idea to do by myself? Does anyone have experiences with this? My turkish is rather limited so I don't know if I could help myself out of a suspicious situation if something should happen. I mean, I can get myself on and off the bus etc. but I have never travelled alone there before. Maybe I should put a scarf on to avoid any comments?

Or if you think this is a bad idea, what else could I do? I'm reluctant to take a taxi all the way because I have learnt the value of money and I can't bring myself to pay up to 120 ytl (or maybe more) for it. Also I don't know if I could trust the driver.

If there was some kind of turist shuttle from the airport to Alanya that would be great, but I don't know anything about it. Unfortunately I don't have contact with anybody from Alanya who could pick me up, we have had a fallout.

Any ideas?
