Now, we will try to weaken the misconception that Turkish men don't cook. Here is how I made the Izmir Kofte me and my bi tanem just ate.

Ingredients:
One pound (Half kilo) ground meat
Two onions
Two potatoes
Two tomatoes
Salt
Black pepper
One egg
1/3 loaf of bread (the white part inside)
Frying oil

Preparation:
Slice the potatoes into moderately sized pieces, and put into salted water and keep it there
Grind the onion into a bowl, and add the meat, egg, bread, salt and pepper.
Knead this mixture well and make small meatballs
Fry the potatoes slightly
Fry the meatballs also slightly
Put the meatballs a baking tin in an organized way
Put the sliced tomatoes on top of the meat, and cover it with the pre-fried potatoes
Bake it in the oven for half an hour, in a moderately high temperature (450F = 230C)

Afiyet olsun.

Minced beef, or lamb - depends what you are using! In USA they say "ground" instead of "minced".
