Kabak Tatlisi
500 grams of pumpkin
½ glass of granulated sugar
1 glass of water
1 glass of sugar
1 glass of crushed walnut
Preparation
Peel the pumpkin and cut it up into pieces. Wash it. On a tray, put a layer of pumpkin and a layer of sugar. Pour the water and close the lid. Cook it on moderate heat. Sprinkle the crushed walnut on.

We have same,but we put béchamel on it and we cook in oven.
İ mostly don't eat,cause i don't like béchamel much,so i make it thin layer of it.
Now,thx to both of you,i will try this one

A couple of notes - if you let the squash sit in the sugar overnight before you boil it, you won't need to add water because a lot will come out of the squash. This way the squash will not break up at all and be much more smooth and firm.
A single clove (don't want to overdo cloves....!) thrown in is very nice.
Some people put pekmez (grape molasses) and a bit of tahin over it as well. Very nice!
