Business class?

Anyone who has done this, flying business class? With what airline? I saw a great deal on the internet, not very much more expensive than economy and I think (hope) more comfortable. I am still doubting if I will do this so every experience is welcome.

Business class? What can I say! WONDERFUL!

I have flown Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Virgin on Business Class and Upper Class and while BA and Cathay are wonderful, Virgin is definitely the best as its much more laid back and free. You can order food and drink whenever you like, at any time of the day or night instead of having the big 8 course formal dinner. Virgin also have the wonderful "beds" to sleep in and provide you with pyjamas and a duvet if you are travelling long haul. The only downfall? After a while you feel a bit like you are in hospital lying in bed being waited on hand and foot! I even had a massage on the last trip!

I have not flown Turkish Airlines business class but I would definitely still choose it to Turkey if I had the chance because if you are going short haul, I would still recommend it for the comfort, VIP treatment, the airport lounge and the priority luggage

If it is not much more expensive then are you sure its business class and not economy plus? You will get free drinks, slightly wider seats and more legroom, but not the first class treatment. Still worth it though in my opinion Go on spoil yourself

I just checked the airline you mentioned, Aenigma, but Cathay and Virgin don't fly from/to Amsterdam and/or Istanbul and BA is twice as expensive as the offer I saw with Czech Airlines. So, still doubting.....

The sites (I saw 3 different ones) that sell the ticket says it's business class. Though prices on the site of Czech Airlines itself are much higher indeed...

Sorry for confusing you Trudy - I know that Cathay and Virgin do not fly to Istanbul, but was trying to give you a general idea.

From my experience, while the particulars vary, the general standard of Business Class is quite consistant, so I would give it a go - if nothing else ,the priority baggage is a god-send.

Quoting Elisabeth:

Trudy, Business class on KLM is top notch. If you join the frequent flyer plan for KLM you can use your miles for an upgrade. I love it and wouldn't fly any other way. I fly from the US to Amsterdam and then Amsterdam to Istanbul. If you need anymore info PM me. I don't want to sound like a commercial on the forum. hahaha

Can you tell me a bit more about this frequent flyer plan? I flew with KLM last time and tho it was economy class, it was a very comfortable flight and i prefer to fly with a good company such as KLM anyways. What is the frequent flyer plan thing then, because ı have a feeling i will be a rather frequent flyer..

Well, I said Yippie too early! I checked again and I phoned two of the selling companies. Both sides had 'errors', it is just economy class, and then this price is very expensive. The real business class price is more than 800 euro, a bit too much for me. Maybe nother time.
