Can someone explain this? I dont see how
with you or not.. could ever mean 'never without you'

With you or not sounds like.. take it or leave it, i can do it myself too but it owuld be nice if it was together with you. Never without you sounds like you need the other one so badly. So how can these 2 mean this?

thennnn maybe we can say it like this:

either with you or never.

He wants to mean that he can just do with you, and love is meaningful just when he's with you. Love or life don't make any sense to him if he's not with you. So, he's willing to do nothing and rejects love and everything that life offers to him if it's going to be without you.
I don't know how this can be said in english.
