Hi, can someone translate this for me please

Sakın bir söz söyleme yüzüme bakma sakın
Sesini duyan olur , sana göz koyan olur
Düşmanımdır seni kim bulursa cana yakın
Anan bile okşasa benim bağrım kan olur

Dilerim Tanrı'dan ki sana açık kucaklar
Bir daha kapanmadan kara toprakla dolsun
Kan tükürsün adını candan anan dudaklar
Sana benim gözümle bakan gözler kör olsun

It is no secret that I hate translating songs... but I'll try for you... (I have used a little poetic freedom here, as I couldn’t do a literal translation of it all!)

Sakın bir söz söyleme yüzüme bakma sakın
Don't say a word, don't look at my face

Sesini duyan olur , sana göz koyan olur
He who hears your voice, He who puts eyes on you

Düşmanımdır seni kim bulursa cana yakın
It is my enemy, he who finds you close to soul

Anan bile okşasa benim bağrım kan olur
Even if it is your mother who caresses you, my heart bleeds

I have translated the second verse - but my translation sounds ridiculous to me - but if no-one else finishes it for you, I'll put my attempt down! Basically though, the second verse is all about wishing to God that those who embrace you are covered in soil (presumably buried) and no lips should speak your name - they should spit blood, and that people who look on you with my eyes should lose their sight.

Who sings this song out of interest??

it's a very romantic song, isn'T it ehehe

Originally, it's a poem of Faruk Nafız Çamlıbel, but became a turkish art song and has been sung by Zeki Müren, Emel sayın, Nilüfer, Niran Ãœnsal and many more...

Thanks for the information Meltem! I was curious about where these words originated. They certainly talk about love in a very strong way!

This was posted as a requested translation but later we noticed it was already doen to some extent. Anyway here is asn alternative translation.

Sakın bir söz söyleme yüzüme bakma sakın
Do not even say a word, do not look at my face

Sesini duyan olur , sana göz koyan olur
Someone may hear your voice, someone may covet on you

Düşmanımdır seni kim bulursa cana yakın
Whomever starts seeing you close to herself is my enemy

Anan bile okşasa benim bağrım taş olur
Even your mother fondles you, my heart will turn into a stone

Dilerim Tanrı'dan ki sana açık kucaklar
I ask God that all the open arms waiting for you

Bir daha kapanmadan kara toprakla dolsun
I wish they get filled by soil before they closes

Kan tükürsün adını candan anan dudaklar
I wish those mouths warmly calling your name spit out blood

Sana benim gözümle bakan gözler kör olsun
I wish those eyes looking at you in the same way I do get blind
