merhabalar millet

Hi Duskahvesi! Ben Dilara .
I started learning turkish last year, unlike some members, I started because I like foreign languages, that's my reason, no turkish boyfriend or something like that!!!
I'm from South America, therefore, My mother tongue is ESPAÑOL , Thank you SO MUCH for your help !! there are so many suffixes!!! ...can you tell me what these ones mean please :
- Mayi/ Meyi
- Maktan / Mekten
-Maya/ - Meye
Çok Teşekkür ederim! Kendine iyi bak!
Write back soon!

- Mayi/ Meyi
There are two suffixes here. -me makes a verb like a noun (very similar to the gerund form of verbs), and -i is the i form of nouns, that makes the noun direct subject.
Gitmeyi düşÃ¼nüyorum. -> I am thinking of going.
Aramayı unutma. -> Don't forget to call.
- Maktan / Mekten
Again, two suffixes. using a verb with -mek is similar to using it in the infinitive form. Meaning is similar to the above case, you can use the verb in this form like a noun. -den (becomes -ten because of the consonant harmony rules) is like the -den form of nouns, means from but can also have meanings of other prepositions based on where it is used. We used to have a hard time learning which prepositions to use where when learning English, and learning Turkish also requires some learning for these details.
Düşmekten korkuyorum. -> I am afraid of falling.
Konuşmaktan çekiniyorum. -> I am shy (reluctant) to talk.
- Maya/ - Meye
Again, two suffixes -me and -e. The -me is the same as the first case above, and the -e gives the meaning of direction.
Yenmeye geldik. -> We came to win.
Gülmeye ihtiyacım var. -> I need to laugh.
