Sorry to ask AGAIN!!

I just tried to phone my Turkish friend and carefully practised asking to speak to him in Turkish but his brother answered and I couldn't understand the reply so panicked and hung up!! Whoops. Could someone help me to apologise please?

"Hi sorry I hung up I panicked because I am useless at Turkish. I just wanted to hear Firat's voice and say hello. Could you let him know I called and maybe he could call my phone when he has the chance and I will call back. I hope I didn't offend you and will keep practising Turkish!

Thanks Cyrano - you are such a blessing, I wish I was ready to have a conversation in Turkish, it's incidents like this that knock my confidence. I thought I was making progress but now I realise that I am still useless!!!

Thanks to the others for replying - I set to work on my phone texting Cyrano's translation and didn't notice the others!! You are all so kind and each translation is slightly different, I am beginning to think I will never get the hang of it all! You are all such a help and I am really grateful. From a learners point of view are the differences in translation because of a different tone of the message, like formal / informal / chatty etc.??
