Is this a song lyric?

Don't give an answer with fire, with fire
Stay with anger, live with loss

Hope this helps you

Ahem.. my first sentence may be corrected(!) but I think it says (and this sounds like a proverb to me)

Don't give a response to fire with fire
One that stands up with anger will sit down with loss

I don't know what on earth was wrong with my eyes the first time I read it!

I'm not good at translating sayings, but I'll try.

You shouldn't respond to fire with fire.(I changed the grammatic structure
the one that stands up with anger sits down with damage.
