Thanks mltm, tatilya is a very nice place and my daughter is already excited about going there (my wife too, don’t tell her I said that). The site is in Turkish, it was a bit hard to understand a lot about this place. Is it that there are many places in Istanbul that belong to tatilya and you go from one to the other, and did I understand right that there is a shuttle bus that link these places, you buy a ticket and it serves all those branches?? A brief description would be nice if you please!
I checked the zoo as well, it seems to be big and nice, thanks a lot for that. But should I be concerned for reading this haber: “Dozens were injured in Tuesday's twin tremors, which were centered on the industrial town of Izmit and were felt in Istanbul 50 miles (80 kilometers) away. Izmit was severely damaged in the August 17 earthquake.”?

yep, it's bad that their site is just in Turkish. Ermm, but how can I tell you, all the things are under the same roof, you buy a ticket for entry. It's like a small Disneyland (very small compared to it It's not outdoor. There're some attractions like a small train that goes fast and does sharp turns and fast going downs and some other exciting things like it and some funny things...
It's open during the week 10am-18pm
In the weekends 11am-21pm
It's closed on monday.

And yes tthe 1999 earthquake was in İzmit, but another eathquake that big isn't expected at least for a long time in the same place, but they're expecting a big earthquake in İstanbul or in Marmara sea withing 30 years they say. Well, Turkey is a place where earthquakes happen.

We will be visiting Istanbul next week and I was wondering if anyone knows some nice fun attractions for children aged 9-12 in Istanbul or within a short travelling distance.
Thanks

Thanks for the info mltm, it is really valuable to me. What do those X locations on the map www.tatilya.com/turkce/ulasim2/ mean? and I couldn't find the address yet, but I am still searching.

Nice idea, maybe we can fish from the boat while on a tour in the Bosphorus as well.

Xs are the name of the crossroads (junction?),in turkish "kavşak", so it's like Bahçeşehir Kavşağı on the map. Tatilya is in Beylikdüzü (the name of the district)on E-5 highway (e-5 karayolu).

Ramayan, O I did not get your joke first lol lol lol Thanks for your suggestion anyway, I will take my family to the car park you referred to and I hope they will like it, there are lots of cars there after all. Any more suggestions you like to add? Looking at your details and photo there must be still some ideas up your sleeve. How old are you did you say?

just i didnt have a family...mean child and wife......or wives hehehe....anyway....yes car park.....no der is a park for children and its free and open to everybody.....but der is not so many things to play...and if ur child wana have fun he or she must pay effort....anyway....but im sure the cheapest and best way...trust me....
