3 big size tomatoes
1 mid size onion
green pepper
3 eggs
100 ml. olive oil
salt
blackpepper

if you like,
parsley,
cheese
even sausages

fry dice chopped onion and green pepper in olive oil and add pureed tomatoes. 10 minutes in low glow, add scrambled eggs. After eggs are done add salt, pepper, parsley, cheese. serve hot.

I love menemen, I always make sure to have the necessary ingredients in the fridge so that I can prepare it whenever I want

it just seems to me that the turks add tomatoes to everything ..so its pretty unfortunate for me because i hate tomatoes

Don't know where you live, but in general you shouldn't buy tomatoes in winter in the West of Europe because in general it's just water disguised as a tomato
Have you ever tried "pimping" them a bit? Cut them in fine slices, add freshly grinded black pepper and salt, pour fine olive oil and add fresh basil or other herbs you like. That tastes like summer really

Ohh I love that too. I used to toast some white slices of bread in the toaster, rub them with garlic and put some salted butter over it (which obviously will melt) and then add the crushed 'herbed' tomatoes!

When we ran out of fresh basil, I used a little bit of dried oregano.
