Off to N Cyprus this weekend and needing help with my basic turkish.

I have seen the term tanistirayim - is this used in introducing someone such as karim tanistirayim.
what is the difference between burada and iste? what is the correct word for here?

how do you say...it is difficult for me or i find it difficult

does gitmek istyirum mean i want to go - if so how would you say i would like to go to turkey

how do you say how is your family? how is your father?

does anlamadim and anliyorum both mean i dont understand -can either be used?

how do you say nice to hear from you?

I am learning using various cds, tapes books etc with help from here. tried to find a local teacher or college but no luck so having to teach myself. Have been to n . cyprus quite a few times and the great thing is that if you try to speak turkish the locals will help or correct. They think it is marvellous that someone foreign is trying so i have no fears going onto a shop etc and i do learn a little bit quicker. Is this the same in Turkey? It is somewhere i really want to visit.
To anyone thinking of learning turkish it may look daunting at first but it can be picked up. I am enjoying learning and am making progress and can get by in shops/restaurants etc.
I am also enjoying learning about the culture and to be honest just do not want to return to england after being in the environment. It is a different world.

I don't understand - anlamiyorum.

If you go in the chat room in the evenings, there are loads of people who will be able to help you.

We are a nice bunch of people.

I wouldn't go on there mid - early afternoon though, its full of people talking dirty and nonesense to each other.

Sorry to say!!!

I have seen the term tanistirayim - is this used in introducing someone such as karim tanistirayim.

-I prefer "işte" to "burada". Whereas "işte" refers to attracting attention, "burada" refers to location. However, I can not say using "burada" is wrong. But I prefer "işte".

how do you say...it is difficult for me or i find it difficult

- "Benim için zor" or " Onu zor buldum. " I prefer the first one.

does gitmek istyirum mean i want to go - if so how would you say i would like to go to turkey

-gitmek istiyorum= I want to go
-Turkiye'ye gitmek istiyorum= I would like to go to Turkey.

how do you say how is your family? how is your father?

-First one= Ailen nasıl?
-Second= Baban nasıl?

does anlamadim and anliyorum both mean i dont understand -can either be used?
-Anlamadım= I did/could not understand
Anlıyorum= I see

how do you say nice to hear from you?
-Senden haber almak güzel= nice to hear from you
