I am moving to Turkey in late August. I am in the process of obtaining my nufus cuzdani and Turkish passport. Has anyone any experience of the Turkish language test - what sort of questions you are asked, how long the test takes etc? Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

I would like to tell you a funny story about my Turkish language test for citizenship.
I had to go to the Milli Eğitim (Education Ministry) office in Cağaloğlu IStanbul. When I entered the ground floor lobby, I told the clerk I was there to take a Turkish test for citizenship. The clerk took my details. What is your name? What is your address? How long have you been in Turkey? What are you doing here? she asked.
I thought the first 2 questions were to register me for the test, and the 2nd two were just her being friendly.
Youve passed she said, and proceeded to stamp a letter saying that I had passed the Turkish test!
No written exam, no grammar, no comprehension!
That was in 2002. If it hasnt changed, and you have basic conversational Turkish you should be just fine.

If the examiner were a gentlemen, he would have asked for your telephone number too. Just to be sure of your level in high mathematics.

Sounds like Marion had already passed the exam after her records in Turkey had been deeply invertigated by authorities. Sounds like her past records were definitely clear. That is why she passed the exam..

As far as I know, if applicants past records are not OK, that exam can be as hard as it gets..like 100 pages of Turkish literature questions...so forth...
