Will be in Istanbul again myself making a second trip to the visa application centre. We went in June and you said try and get a letter from my local MP. Unfortunately i didnt have time but had more than enough evidence to submit i thought. They wouldnt accept the proof of our relationship even though we took it and when my boyfriend went back 3 days later to collect his passport there was no visa. The reason they said was we had applied too soon and should go back nearer to when he wants to travel. I am flying out the last week of september first week of october to Alanya and my boyfriend and i will again travel to Istanbul. However, ive seen on the British Embassy website that we can ask for the visa to be post dated (he wants to travel 1st December for 3 months) so fingers crossed. Hope your fiancee enjoyed her visit to England and i hope your trip to Istanbul is a good one. Im sure it will be. Good Luck with sorting out your wedding plans. I wish you both all the very best.

Hi Paulam594
Yes I did read the same as you did about the visa being post dated but I remember I wanted Nesrin to get her visa application in earlier and when I telephoned they told me that two months or less was enough time to apply for her holiday visa.
Thanks my fiancee really enjoyed her holiday in the U.K. but the weather was not so good, I am sure my trip to Istanbul will be a nice one. Thanks for
your best wishes take care
