...moved to Turkey with your husbands/partners? How long have you been out there?

How did you find it?

Sorry, a lot of questions but the idea of my moving to Turkey is making me really really nervous! Seems like an enormous step! I want to do it but I don't have anyone to ask whose already out there!

Hi melek
I moved here 15 months ago with my partner and i can say it was the best move ive made. I wont tell you that it is easy, you do miss family and friends, but most have been out to visit anyway so it has made it easier. Going by the translations you are asking for then i presume it is to be with a turkish partner. I really think your move will be slightly different to mine. Maybe someone who moved here to be with a turkish person would be the right person to ask. But i wish you luck and happiness. just remember the UK is only 4 hrs away by plane.

Yes, I hope we get more replies.

It's EVERYTHING...how you cope with the culture? What its like to work in Turkey, how do you get on with day to day things? Healthcare? Banking/finance? Do any of you still have loans back home? Visas, what about friends?

The list is endless! I was just wanting to know about life in general for the non-turkish. It's a life changing thing and it's nice to hear from people who have done it!

Good and bad things too!

Quoting MrX67:

''Ferhat has made hole all moıntains for Şirin'' and ''Kerem has crossed all deserts for Aslı'',so why not you are

That would be 'waiting for Godot'.
