could someone please translate this song for me..thanx I really appreciate it.

Gidiyorum uzaklara
Bilinmez diyarlara
Seni bırakıp gitmek varya
O koyuyor inan bana

Ben senle olamadım
Gençliğime doyamadım
Ben senle kalamadım
Günlerimi sayamadım

Ölümde var sonunda
Gülüm de var
Dağların arkasın da
Yar ah yar

thanx again.
MMM,

There ware missing parts in the previous translation.
Gidiyorum uzaklara
Bilinmez diyarlara
Seni bırakıp gitmek varya

O koyuyor inan bana
I am going away
to unkown lands
the idea of leaving is the most diffcult one

Ben senle olamadım
Gençliğime doyamadım
Ben senle kalamadım
Günlerimi sayamadım

I have never been with you
never enjoyed my youth
have never been with you
have never counted the days

Ölümde var sonunda
Gülüm de var
Dağların arkasın da
Yar ah yar
Ohh, there is death in the end
there is death, oh my luve, my luve ( love)
behind the mounths

thanks KONAT7,
I really love this song, and someone just quickly translated it to me VERY quickly. So I knew it had a beautiful meaning...but what was it???
The funny thing is I asked a Turkish to tell me what does " Olum de var" mean and he said it means that I have a son??? Kindda wierd!
Now I know what it means, thank you.

Actually this is because of the Turkish characters. If you say 'Oğlum var', it means 'I have a son". If you say 'Ölüm var', it means 'There is death'. Your friend was innocent

Really!!!??
I never expected that there would be a great difference in one word! Although I remember pronouncing it right.
Could you just answer one last thing about this topic?
When I asked about the meaning of "Olum de var", he corrected me and said that the "var" is pronounced as "war"?
Is that correct?

Thanks
MMM

"W" sound is not possible Turkisjh language. "Var" means there is / are and " to have". You have to pronounce it as the sound in English " v"
For example: Para var there is money
köpek var there is (a)dog
to make them negative you have to use "yok"
para yok köpek yok
To have meaning ıs then
ben + im para+ m var/yok
sen+in para+n var /yok
o+nun para+sı var / yok
there are rules for possessive meanings of var and yok

WoW, you can't imagine how these few lines you wrote will help me in learning the turkish language. I always like to learn by knowing a way of writing a sentance, in this case, "I have/don't have..". So with this rule you've just shared with me, you helped me move a step up in the Turkish Language ladder. Thanks
