Dear classmates,

I have tried to translate this lyrics to English, and I almost finished it, but I still have some questions.
So, please, can someone help me to translate it

Askim askim (Kenen Dogulu)

cennetten çiçek topladım sana
herkes aşk diye kıvranıp duruyorken
ben en saf halimi sakladım sana
sen deneyip deneyip yanılıyorken
kuruttuğum çiçekler tarih oldu
derbeder içimde bir ocak var
kim bilir ne gün söner

askim askim diye aglayacaksin
başını taşlara hergün vuracaksın
sesini duyan yokki anlayacaksın
sen gittin şimdi sıra bende
ben gittim şimdi sıra sende

aşkım aşkım diye ağlayacaksın
başını yastıklara boş koyacaksın
sesini duyan yokki anlayacaksın
sen gittin şimdi sıra bende
ben gittim şimdi sıra sende

kuruttuğum çiçekler tarih oldu
derbeder içimde bir ocak var
kim bilir ne gün söner

Thank You,

Mella

Thank you Erdinc for your help in finding someone to translate. Cyrano has already assisted me with this translation. I will come with my full translation. I have to work on it a little. And there will be precious grammar issues and idioms to discuss.
See you later,
Mella

cennetten çiçek topladım sana
i picked up flower from heaven to you

Notes: cennet (paradise) + den (from)- consider consonant rules
topladim: toplamak (to gather, to pick)+ dim - past tense suffix for the first person singular
sana - to you

herkes aşk diye kıvranıp duruyorken
ok, let me try to explain, as I am not able to translate it as good as a native would.
So the meaning of this line is: everyone wants love very much ("kıvranmak diye"- to long, to wish very much, to feel a burning desire for smth or smo), but they suffer ("kıvranıp durmak" means "to suffer") from lacking this love. I hope you got it...

everyone wants love and they are lack of it and thus they suffer from lacking of love
"kıvranıp durmak" means "to suffer", a phrases and it means suffer

ben en saf halimi sakladım sana
I saved my purest case for you

sen deneyip deneyip yanılıyorken
while you failed by trying and trying

kuruttuğum çiçekler tarih oldu
the flowers that I dried became too old

derbeder içimde bir ocak var
there is a fireplace inside me which is miserable

kim bilir ne gün söner
who knows when it fades/ die down

askim askim diye aglayacaksin
you will cry saying my love, my love

başını taşlara hergün vuracaksın
you will regret it so much everyday

Note: "başını taşlara vurmak" is an idiom and it means "to regret, to repent much"

sesini duyan yokki anlayacaksın
there is no one hearing to understand you

sen gittin şimdi sıra bende
You went away and now it is my turn

Note:"sıra bende" = it's my turn

ben gittim şimdi sıra sende
I left, now it is your turn

aşkım aşkım diye ağlayacaksın
you will cry saying my love, my love

başını yastıklara boş koyacaksın
you will lie down your head onto the pillow without me"

sesini duyan yokki anlayacaksın
there is no one hearing to understand you

sen gittin şimdi sıra bende
You went away and now it is my turn

ben gittim şimdi sıra sende
I left, now it is your turn

kuruttuğum çiçekler tarih oldu
the flowers that I dried became too old

derbeder içimde bir ocak var
there is a fireplace inside me which is miserable

kim bilir ne gün söner
who knows when it fades/ die down.

That's it. Thank You, Cyrano again. Erdinc thank you for your work. I am sorry if I have made mistakes. Please come up with your corrections.

See you,
Mella
