Chemney-sweep brings good luck.
This superstition is said to originate from the fact that those houses which chimneys were sweeped didn't burn down...
I read an interview with the executive of a hungarian chimney-sweep company. According to his sayings, even in these days sweepers have sometimes uniforms buttons touched, or a sweep stripe is pulled out and put in the wallet by a passenger in order to bring her/him good luck.

Don't spill the salt. Although some people believe that Judas spilt salt during the last supper, this claim can't be proven. Salt was a very precious expensive commodity in the middle ages. It was also used for medicinal purposes. If you spilled any, you must immediately throw it over your left shoulder to strike the nasty spirits in the eye, thus preventing sickness
