I know this is a long shot since its hard to meet people from winnipeg online but... I live in winnipeg and I desperately want to learn turkish. I've searched all over the city looking for language schools or colleges/universities that might offer languages courses, but none offer turkish as an option. Id rather not pay to take online courses since I learn better in an actual calssroom setting. If anyone know where I might find a place in winnipeg to learn turkish, or if anyone lives in or around winnipeg that could teach me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to give regular online lessons for free on this very website but unfortunately there isn't yet anybody who can create such an interface that would satisfy me.
I wish you good luck on your search. You might contact your nearest Turkish Embassy. As I work for the Educational Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in London I know that they are keeping records of Turkish lecturers, teachers and university students in their area.
Even if you are unable to find a language teacher you might be able to find a masters students who has come from Turkia.
On the other hand I belive that it should be possible to learn Turkish on your own. You could start by checking these links:

Unfortunately Ive tried looking for a turkish embasy or cultural centre or anything along those lines here in winnipeg. There are alot of different cultural centres here, but Turkish doesnt seem to be the most popular choice... I'll take a look at those links and continue to attempt to learn on my own until I find another way. THanks for the quick reply ^^
