Hi there,
Is there anyone who could help me translating the lyrics of the following song:
UZAK Yaprak Dokumu-- Toygar Isikli
I am planning to use this song in a theathre play. Apparantly its a main theme of a popular soap in Turkey.
The song, the voice, it's simply amazing. But I would love to know what the words mean and MORE importantly, the significance of the song

The mornings come sleepily - Is the Turkish version a certain idiom? As I obviously translated it literally

No, I just took a bit of poetic licence - as a literal translation doesn't sound like poetry in English. The morning wrapped around in sleep - yuk.
But, I am open to better suggestions! I wasn't completely happy with "The morning comes sleepily" but I didn't want to spend too many hours on the line .....
Maybe, if the line break was before the word "yüzüne" rather than after we would say:
they (the nights) wander round your face from sleep until morning

Hehe ok. As English isnt my mothertongue, I have even more difficulty finding a proper translation, that sounds fine in English as well. Its already hard enough to translate to my mothertongue, let alone to a second language!

What do you guys think this song is actually about.
Should I interpret as:
a person waiting for something to happen, or for someone to drop by..
But this waiting seems long? time passes.... Day and nights go by.. leaves drop down... symbolizing emptiness?
What are your thoughts on the meaning of the song..??
