Does Türk Hava Yolları really ask for the holder of the creditcard when checking in, even when he is not the passenger? It says so on the e-ticket, but I never heard of such a thing. So they will just refuse me my ticket?

I have always had to hand over the card I used to pay with when checking in. As far as I know they will insist. Only on the outward journey though so it will mean whoever pays online will have to accompany you to the airport.
btw You can check in online from 24 hours before your flight time and you can choose your own seat. Also it means you can check in via the business class queue.
have a good trip.

Damnit.. i hope you are wrong...
I am having a domestic flight though, from Istanbul to İzmir. And obviously I will be picked up by Kadir (aka creditcard holder ) in İzmir! There is no chance he can come to Istanbul but I already bought the ticket.
I guess Ill have to buy a new ticket once I get there..

Kadir paid my ticket as I have no creditcard myself. But now on my ticket it says that the creditcard holder has to be at the check-in with a valid id, in order to get my bilet?

I believe it is rubish...
It is very unlikely that they will check who paid during CHECK-IN.
Why dont you give them a ring if you are not comfortable?

Yes.. I have always traveled with 'other peoples cc', and no one has ever asked me a thing. Once I traveled just with the flight number written on my hand an an id card, and that was enough! But on the bilet they are pretty explicit.. Anyway, you are right, I should give them a call

I bought an electronic ticket online THY , with my card, 4 times last year. Each time I checked in they asked to see my card that I used for the purchase of the ticket and I watched them ask the passengers before me too.
I would advise you to call THY DK, they have always been very helpful when I have done so. The local office or desk at the airport you fly from will be listed on their site. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck.
