Quoting Daydreamer:

having absolutely no knowledge of Dutch, here's what I get:

I hope that they're all bent towards blazing vegetables lol

It means:

I hope you already have been blown away!

(there is a storm-alert in the Netherlands, we were gonna go to a lecture about Turkey tonight, but she told me to read the papers page 2, which said that the wind can get speeds of 120 km/h today. So now Im safe home Actually I should thank Chantal )

Home? Come on! Haven't you read The Wizard of Oz? Don't tell me you wouldn't enjoy an adventure like Dorothy had

That's not really why I told you to read the newspaper cnm .
In De Pers there was an article about Turkey actually. It basically said that highly educated Turks don't have any reason whatsoever to come and live in Europe. There are enough jobs in Istanbul for them, and there's nothing to be found in Europe which can't be found in Istanbul.. .

Unfortunately for you I didn't get blown away lol. There were no trains to Utrecht today though because of a broken electricity cable.. It was a wise idea not to go, even though I'd loved to go!

I like loads of different music but am not to clued up on Turkish music. However, I do like:

M.F.O. -- I love their harmonies, gorgeous voices !
Fatih Erkoç - the most talented performer I think I have ever seen live.
Ajda Peker - I like the 80's style pop stuff
Sertab Erener
ENBE Orchestra

and I even enjoy a bit of Bulent Ersoy when I have a glass of raki in my hand !!!
