With the introduction of our new Points Based System in the UK, it will be much harder for Turks to come to the UK. It will also be difficult for Turks already here who need to renew their visa too. Actually I will write about it and post later as it will be useful information.

At present, the points based system is for workers from outside the EU, as far as I'm aware, it will not apply to spouses

UK Borders

It would take so long to write something simple to understand that I have posted the link. I will work on a paper to be added somewhere in TC, trying to simplify things when I have more time.

I think English_boy's emphasis was on WORKERS as opposed to SPOUSES -not on outside or inside EU

Looks like if your part of the EU, you can enter & remain freely.. however, you must apply for a work permit. It will be interesting to see the affects of this new point system, once it's been in place for a duration.
