What city or district do you like best in your country?
Maybe we can explore your city one day, who knows?
Small world!

There are so many places in my country that I have not visited that I thought I would start with where I live:

Beaches
I live in a part of the UK, that has some of the most beautiful beaches, where Shakespear in Love was filmed. The sand stretches for miles (does not sound the same if you say kilometers!) and parts of the coast are deserted. The access if difficult and people dont visit.

Forest
There is a beautiful forest where we can walk, ride our bikes, or just look at the wildlife, unusual birds, deer if you are lucky. In the middle of this forest is a stone age flint mine. Flint was mined to make stone age tools. It was used for building, a skilled job called flint napping, to make the correct shape to build with.

Houses
We have one of the Queen houses close by, many people visit it. It has beautiful grounds and forest too. It is a place for peace and relaxation. The house is open to the public unless the Queen is living there.

My town
My town is a town of two halves - one half being historic, Vancouver set sail from our harbour with Captain Cook, and he discovered Vancouver Canada. Because my town is a port, there is a fishing industry and it is a trade port. the other half is modern with all the problems associated with it.

I always say you should walk around your town as if you were a tourist and you will see things you never knew about! Go to you tourist information centre, you will most probably get a surprise.

I have been to Shanghai, but only for two days, to visit a factory! All I saw was traffic jams, pollution, tall buildings and a lot of people lol I am sure it has a lot more to offer but it is not on my list of places to see.

For Libralady=

We know England is a beautiful country with its historical culture.

And William Shakespeare...We know his plays= Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Othello,The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, Richard III, All's Well That Ends Well.and we know his poetry.

SHAKESPEARE's contribution to English Language is great.

William Shakespeare is a great writer and poet for the world literature

And James Cook.He discovered Australia.

Is your sea side town near CARDIFF, SWANSEA, TORBAY, LONDON, NORWICH, GREAT YARMOUTH, THE WASH, NEWCASTLE, LIVERPOOL, OR STRATFORD?

ıts name?

The Wash! London is not close to the coast, not really, Norwich neither, not as close as me anyway. Norwich is in the capital of the county of Norfolk. Today I was behind numerous caravans making their way to our coast because it is Bank Holiday and guess it will rain!

In Poland:

The Mazurian Lake District

For those who like yachting, kayaking, coanoeing, windsurfing or just camping in wild forests by lakes.

The Baltic Sea Coast

Sunbathing and doing water sports in the summer, walks in all other seasons.

The Tatra Mountains

For those who like mountains. Skiing in winter, lovely walks in all other seasons
Gory Stolowe
Mountains again, this time not as high as the Tatra mountains

Krakow
A former capital of Poland, historically number one to see

and many many more

Now I'm not patriotic in particular so instead I would like to suggest Lake Como in Italy. It's one of the most beautiful locations on earth and if you get tired of the idyllic setting there's not far to Milan.
