Something that came to mind when I read this. My nephew who is part German & Irish is really into video games etc.. Everytime they play a certain video game, he always wants to be the Germans due to my brother telling him he is part German.

His first day of school the class stood to say the Pledge of Allegiance and the teacher noticed him not reciting it. She asked why he didn´t participate and he told her because he wasn´t American he was German. Thank god he didn´t do the Nazi salute.
