In turkish military.. how often soldiers are allowed to use telephones.. is mobiles allowed?.. if not how convinient is to use the public phone? is it normal for soldiers not call their family for a week?

It depends on place and time.If he is in "active" place.. I´m sorry ,maybe he cant call 2-3 months.But normally , he can call with pay phone 3,4 times a week.

he´s not a very active soldier.. he´s a driver for general..so i guess he can call..thanks anyway

Hi,

 

It is such a difficult question to answer because it really depends on individual circumstances.

 

If the people in charge say no, then they really have no choice. Mobiles are definatley not allowed. And there are normally of plenty of pay phones around, but they are at high demand.

 

Not calling the family for a week is normal. Sometimes my husband cals me eveyday and other times he cant call for weeks. This is the way it is im afraid and they really have no control over it.
